Thrive proudly sponsors the Lions at Large Cheltenham and Gloucester Trail 2025
This summer, Thrive is thrilled to be a sponsor of the Lions at Large Cheltenham and Gloucester trail, a spectacular public art event bringing vibrant creativity to the heart of these historic towns. The Lions at Large trail 2025 showcases an exciting collection of unique lion sculptures created by talented artists and displayed throughout Cheltenham and Gloucester, inviting locals and visitors alike to explore and celebrate art, community, and charity.
At the centre of this inspiring initiative is the Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Big Space Appeal, a charity dedicated to transforming hospital environments to create more welcoming, therapeutic spaces for patients and their families. Through the Lions at Large Gloucester and Cheltenham trail, the community comes together to raise vital funds and awareness for this important cause, and Thrive is proud to play its part.
Thrive’s sponsored sculpture, The Guardian of Inner Flowers, is a stunning piece by Spanish artist, muralist, and illustrator Marta Zubieta, whose unique style blends surrealism, cartoon influences, and vibrant colours. Marta’s work draws inspiration from ’90s pop culture, Latin folklore, and millennial nostalgia, making her an exceptional contributor to this year’s Lions at Large Cheltenham and Gloucester trail.
Inspired by the Mexican folk art tradition of alebrijes, The Guardian of Inner Flowers features intricate floral motifs of forget-me-nots and sunflowers, symbolising remembrance, protection, and vitality. The vibrant colours and detailed design beautifully express qualities of strength and compassion, values Thrive embodies in its mission.
This lion sculpture serves as a powerful symbol of community spirit and creative expression, weaving a narrative of protection and inner strength across Cheltenham’s public spaces.
The Lions at Large Cheltenham and Gloucester trail 2025 offers an unmissable opportunity to engage with art in the open air while supporting a meaningful cause. This public art event highlights a diverse array of lion sculptures, each telling its own unique story through the creativity of artists like Marta Zubieta.
Visitors can enjoy exploring both towns, following the trail to discover these impressive works, and contribute to the success of the Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Big Space Appeal.
Thrive is keen to support our local communities, and sponsoring a lion on the Lions at Large Gloucester and Cheltenham trail perfectly aligns with our values. By supporting this innovative public art event, we celebrate creativity, encourage community engagement, and help raise funds for a charity making a real difference in local healthcare.
We hope everyone will join us in celebrating this fantastic summer event, experience the vibrant public art in Cheltenham and Gloucester, and support the Big Space Appeal.
